Will Winflector ever include support for USB devices (similar to what terminal services or Citrix offers)?

Here's my use case:

I have several remote sites using POS software through terminal services for booking and receiving product for rentals.  They use a handheld USB bar code scanner to scan the barcodes on the rentals when they send them out and when they receive them so this is a critical piece.

I would like to move them off terminal services to Winflector but the USB support is a deal killer.  The device shows up as a generic scanner in Windows and no driver needs to be loaded (even on XP) so I am wondering how this could be done?

The USB support is planned, but for now there are two possibilities:

  1. The fastest solution is for scanners, which support a kind of keyboard mode. Switch the scanner to this mode and an application can support it as a keyboard input.
  2. Use Winflector RPC to support scanner input (this require some programming).

I think it will work without problems, because in fact a USB barcode scanner is nothing more than a keyboard.
