Hello,

 

I've successfully installed winflector version 3.9.8.4 and created an excel worksheet to be served up through winflector.  I'd like to know if the following options are avaiable in Winflector:

 

1.  Is there a way to have the application served up through the Winflector Web Page automatically logged in like the desktop shortcut?  I'd like to have this excel page served up to a user without the need for them the login to Winflector Web Client.

2.  Is there a direct link to my application from the Web URL?  I've tried looking for the web link through the 'run in browser' button but I do not see a web link associated with this button.

* But, it's possible to use both options when you enable Demo mode in the winflector server.

VII. The DEMO mode of Winflector server

The demo mode (available in Winflector server since version 3.7.4.0) allows user to launch selected application in a internet browser window without being authenticated via username and password. The application is launched via URL, which can be sent to user via e-mail or any web page.

 

To run demo mode, follow these steps:

· Run WMTOOL application using Preferences button in Winflector server dialog.  

· Choose Options/Configure WEB interface.

· Check Enable DEMO mode checkbox.

· Save all the changes and close Options window.

· Click Users accounts button.

· Select Authentication via Winflector.

· Click Create DEMO button (account ~WFDEMO will be created).

· Save the changes using Save button.

· Select user ~WFDEMO on the list and then click Applications button.

· Choose applications to be run in DEMO mode.

· Save all changes and close WMTOOL application.

To run the application in a browser window, use URL in the following format:

http://server.address.com/demo?appname=application%20name
