I'm testing Winflector and so far I really like it. I have set it up to serve VMware vSphere Client which is working perfectly, but I would also like to be able to manage my Windows servers from Linux using a custom MMC console that contain the Server Manager snap-ins so I can manage Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP from my Linux laptop. I have set it up, but it gives the error from the attached screenshot when I try to start the application.

 

On the client side I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 x86 and the latest build of the Winflector client for Linux.

Is there a fix for this?

We have to check the standard mmc and let you know.

Thanks for the reply. By the way, this is on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise R2 SP1 x64.

Standard mmc seems to work (after overcoming a manifest creation problem). Could you please describe in details how you start mmc with a snap-in? If possible please send us Winflector logs (wfsupport@winflector.com).
