Hi,

I just tried Winflector latest version today on my Windows 10 virtual machine. Client is Arch linux. 

Everything went well and I can launch Notepad, but when I try to launch Word 2016 or Excel 2016 or other Office App, the splash window comes forward, then the main Excel window, but partially.

I can see the sheet, a tab, but all menu parts are blank, please see attached file to understand what I mean. 

As such, Winflector is unusable, any help to get it to run?

note that I tried using all the options, reduced to 16 bit, server side menus, etc. nothing works.

Hi Eduardo,

Is your client machine running Linux?

There was a bug which has been fixed in the version 3.9.3.2. If you have an older version then please upgrade.

If your version is the most recent (3.9.3.4) then for diagnostics please provide more information:

  • Does the bug occur in MS Office 2016 as the original poster reported or is it only in VS2013?
  • Does the same bug occur in the Windows client and web browser client? If you have only one Windows machine then it is still possible to launch the client and the server on the same machine.
  • Does the problem occur with other applications?
  • If possible, can you try a different server machine?

I have last version of server and client.

 

Server runs at windows server 2008R2.

 

Running applications on web page mode works fine.

 

 

 

Applications started on client mode has any issues:

 

Some applications created with visual studio 2013 runs ok, but some labels and popup menues has lost your background color.

 

Visual studio 2013 not shows any popups, including menus, toolbar buttons and combo boxes.

 

The only popup that application shows is when clicked the top-left system icon at window's title bar.

First of all, what is the operating system of your client machine?

Can you try a different client system?

Windows 7 Professional 64 bits Service Pack 1.

2 - Can you try a different client system?

No. We need that configuration.

Hi Eduardo,

If your system is Windows then it is not the same bug because the original poster found and reported a bug in the Linux client and it has been fixed.

Regarding the Windows system, we experienced lots of similar problems in the past and we are working on the solutions. It is possible that we have already fixed those problems you report here. We are going to make a new release soon, hopefully this week.

Hi rl.

I installed the new version 3.9.4.0a, but the popup dialogs and menus still do not appear running the application in windowed mode. Nor was the problem of labels corrected. As before, the web version works fine.
