Using MS Access which creates a MS Outlook email message.

Tried using code that opens MS Outlook - works normally but not in winflector.

Tried having MS Outlook already open on the PC with Winflector server.

Ran code.  Got this error message:

Run time error 2147221231

Cannot create the email message because a data file to send and receive messages cannot be found.

Check your settings in MS OUtlook profile.  ....

Couldn't attach a jpg, bmp, gif or word file of the message.

If you have a sample Access program which shows the issue please send it to support@winflector.com. Please attach the screenshots you have and server logs (c:\winflector\server\applogs\*.*).

I am unable to choose the file even if I change it to zip, bmp, jpg, etc.  I will send to your email address.

Attached is a sample app in MS Access.  I try to use the built in Access send email capabilities, using MS Outlook (which is setup and operating) which is the default email program.  I am able to send the message.  but then Access crashes but restarts.

Open the Access program using the winflector client

(Note the client is setup so the user has a windows name)

Open the only table Lutblcommunities

Select External Data from the Access Menu options

Select Email (from the Export Section)

Select Excel Workbook

OK

Enter a valid email address - into the OUtlook email form

Send.

Suggestions?

Bob

when I redo the above but select a PDF option, and after Send just do nothing, I get:

GTE error - error 18 - connection to server unexpectedly closed.

Would appreciate hearing back from you via email or your responding to my post on your forum.

More info:  today I tried running Access in a browser connected to Winflector.  Did the same test.  It appears that AFTER I am able to complete and SEND the email via Outlook, the winflector app disconnects.  It tries to reconnect once and appears to have done so briefly then attempting to reconnect again.  Then I quickly get this error:

Error 51 cannot connect to application:  error while receiving data, 9

After I respond to the error, I get disconnected, and I am back at the winflector menu in the browser.

Test Part 2

------------

Tried various output formats for the email attachment.

Again, I opened my Access application, created a spreadsheet type view, selected External data, Email

PDT, xls 97 HTML, rich text format, Excel 5.0/95

Get error "The file c:usersANVuser3appdatalocalmicrosoftoutlookvolunteerform@arlnvil.org.ost cannot be opened"

Part 3

I share the directory with the offending file allowing everyone to read/write and reboot.  No difference.

Part 4

While typing the above "part 3" it appears that my Access app has crashed.  I am now shown the Access program with the "File" menu opened.  It shows the "Ccompact and Repair" option as well as the option to open any Access application.  That really is not good if I have multiple Access apps that I want to allow only certain people to access via the winflector apps.

It requires some tests, but we have holidays now, so please give us more time.

Mirek
