Our end users have mapped drives on their local pc's.  H:  I: and P:

We have updated to the newest version of Winflector, however the user's drives are still not available through the application, ie to save reports, etc.

 

Is there anything we need to do to make these visible?  Thanks.

I am not sure the application does not see any client drives or only some of them. In the first case you need to turn on file mapping in the following steps:

  • on the Winflector server press Preferences button, then Options
  • uncheck "Disable filesystem mapping", press OK, OK, Disconnect
  • close the Winflector server and run it again (using Start/Stop is not enough!)
  • now run the application. The client local filesystem should be available in the application under c:\wfmount directory.

I have the same problem. Disabled filesystem mapping, Close server (Stop and Exit), Start server but... still there are no client drives.

Where can I find the mapped driver? From within my application I start explorer so... I should see the client drives?

If everything is done then you should see the client filesystem from a running application.

Please do the following:

1. Send Winflector server log files (c:\winflector\server\applogs\*.*) to support@winflector.com - we will see if the file driver is properly loaded.

2. Try to see the client filesystem from the shared notepad application. Run notepad via Winflector client, choose 'File'/'Save as', then go to C:\wfmount.
